COOGAN story

First Lt. Charles P. Coogan (right), husband of Mrs. Helen D.
Coogan of South Charleston, has been decorated with the Bronze
Star medal for heroic achievement while serving in a marine
infantry battalion in action against the enemy on Saipan, Marianas
Islands, on June 27, 1944.  He has been stationed overseas since
January 1944, and also holds the Purple Heart.
