Notes for: Mildred Hynes

Married Thos Deeley at Pittsburgh, September, 1934, Holy Rosary Church. Rev. Leo A. Pastorius officiating. Although both Tom and Millie were from Stamford, CN they chose to be married in Pittsburgh either because Millie's mother Margaret Guynan Hynes had died recently or because Uncle Jim Hynes did not completely agree with the marriage. Both anecdotes were given by Eliz Quinn Morlan. Millie lived and worked at the Dept. of Motor Vehicles in Stamford CT and upon retirement moved to Pompano Beach, FL with sister Mae Hynes O'Meara. Both died at an advanced age, well into their nineties and are buried in Stamford, CT.
