Notes for: Nell Stock
Nell Stock, a friend of the Gerritt St. Quinn frequently visited thehome and on one occasion met John Quinn II. It is presumed that Johy (often called JohnnyQuinn) was a widower. They fell in love and married. Once John retired from the PA RR they retired to FLA, tok ownership of an orange grove near St. Petersburg.
Eliz Quinn Morlan and Mary Quinn Finley visited them there but found the place somewhat in disarray. John worked very hard to keep the grive in condition but could not keep up so that the ground became accdidfied by dropping fruit or lost much of it due to frost. The house was also in poor condition, nearly overrun by insects of various kinds. Nevertheless, the couple were very happy. Little more is known of them and it is supposed they passed away and were buried in the area.
