Ellen O'Sullivan Cagney was the wife of William. They were married at Cty. Drog, Ireland. William's father, Michael, had married Mary Cagney (his Cagney family was no relation to Mary's family) and had several children: Patrick, Thomas, David, William, Kate, James, Edward,and possibly Mary Ellen.Having lived originally in Lawrenceville, theymoved to Carson St. (April 5, 1898) on the South Side many taking jobswith the large J&L Steel mills there. Mrs. Cagney's family were NewYorkers: Uncle Jim O'Sullivan, Jim's uncle John O'S was an undertaker(Papa Quinn often stayed with them), Michael a judge in NY. James had a
son James who became an actor, his father's brother had a hotel in NY City. Uncle Jim O'Sullivan was Supt. of the New York Port Authority.
