Notes for: John Quinn, Sr.

John Quinn was the father of William Quinn, grandfather to Mary E., Gertrude, Elizabeth K, Baptista (Tess) and William Q. II who died in infancy. A record of this family is to be found in the U.S. Census for 1900, Allegheny Co. City of Pgh., vol 13, sheet no. 10 enum. dist. No. 248, line 46, #625. John's father was Jeremiah (A) Quinn who lived in either Ballinea or Ballingarry, Co. Limerick, IRE. His brother is probably Pvt. Arthur Quinn,a Civil War soldier, likely of Philadelphia and who is described in these genealogical notes under # 198.

John died August 8, 1903, buried in the family plot of Calvary Cemetery, Sect. B, location #226
