1. Patrick¹ Coogan, son of [Patriarch] Coogan and [Matriarch] spouse, was born in Ireland c.1806. Patrick died 1882 in Ballyragget, Kilkenny, Ireland, at 76 years of age.

He married Catherine Hogan in Ireland, before 1838. Catherine was born in Ireland c.1820. Catherine died 1887 in Ballyragget, Kilkenny, Ireland, at 67 years of age.

Patrick Coogan and Catherine Hogan had the following children:

• + 3 ii. Anne Coogan was born c.1839.

• + 4 iii. Patrick Coogan was born c.1840.

• 5 iv. Martin Coogan was born in Ballyragget, Kilkenny, Ireland c.1845. Martin died 1935 in Longreach, QLD, Australia, at 90 years of age.

• 6 v. Julia Coogan was born in Ballyragget, Kilkenny, Ireland c.1846. * Julia is deceased. * She married John Phelan in Ballyragget, Kilkenny, Ireland, 1867. * John was the son of William Phelan and Margaret spouse.

• + 7 vi. Ellen Coogan was born c.1850.

• + 8 vii. Thomas Coogan was born 01 FEB 1855.
