Mrs. Vincent Ippolito of Cambridge announces the marriage of her
daughter, Miss Virginia Elizabeth Ippolito, to Mr. James Joseph
Coogan, Petty Officer, U.S.N.R., at Our Lady of Pompeii Church,
Boston, on Friday, Aug. 29.  The ceremony was performed by the
Rev. John J. O'Leary, pastor of the church.

The bride wore a princess style gown of white satin and lace with
a tulle finger-tip veil.  She carried a prayer book with white
roses and baby's breath.  Mrs. Walter J. Slattery of Dorchester
was matron of honor for her sister, and wore a pink chiffon gown
and carried an old-fashioned bouquet.  Mr. Gerard L. Golden of
Wollaston was best man.
