Marriage of Mary Monica Coogan & Michael Francis Horan

MARY COOGAN BRIDE
OF MICHAEL F. HORAN

Miss Mary Monica Coogan, daughter of Prof. and Mrs. Daniel Francis
Coogan, Jr. of Lynbrook, N.Y., was married today in St. Raymond's
Roman Catholic Church in East Rockaway, N.Y., to Michael Francis
Horan of Pawtucket.  The Rev. John O'Sullivan officiated.

Escorted by her father, the bride and her twin sisters, Misses 
Margaret and Elizabeth Coogan, as maids of honor, with Mrs. Margaret
Spencer and Miss Mary Ann Schmidt as bridesmaids, and Anne Coogan
and Sally Horan, sisters of the couple, as junior bridesmaids. Kevin
Horan was his brother's best man, and ushers were John Coughlin,
Thomas Griffin and Kenneth O'Grady.

The bride wore a gown of silk and wool worsted banded at neckline
and sleeves with traponte lace, with a French illusion veil held by
lace pillbox.  She carried a bouquet of white roses.

A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents.  The couple
will live in Newport.

The bride, a cum laude graduate of the Catholic University of
America, has been a speech therapist in Hicksville, N.Y.  Her father
is acting chairman of the department of modern languages of Brooklyn
College of the City of New York.  Mr. Horan, a magna cum laude 
graduate of Providence College, graduated from the Catholic 
University of America Law School and is a practicing attorney with
the firm of Moore, Virgadamo, Boyle and Lynch in Newport.
