Col. and Mrs. Norman Congdon. ___________________________________________________________________ Wedding Notice (extracted from "Niagara Falls Gazette" [NY], 26 NOV 1966, PAGE 5): MISS LOUISA COOGAN IS WED IN MILITARY CEREMONY The Very Rev. Msgr. Robert Murphy bestowed the Papal Blessing and performed the military ceremony in which Miss Louisa E. Coogan and Capt. Norman B. Congdon exchanged nuptial vows. The Prince of Peace Church was the setting for today's (Nov. 26, 1966) wedding for the daughter of Mrs. William J. Coogan, Sr., 1225 North Military Road, and the late Mr. Coogan, and the son of Lt. Col. and Mrs. Norman A. Congdon, Bradenton, Fla. The bride, given in marriage by her brother, William J. Coogan Jr., wore a white peau de sole empire gown with scooped neckline, long sleeves, and A-line skirt and detachable chapel train. A capette of lace secured her chapel length silk illusion and Chantilly veil and she carried a cascade of feathered carnations. Miss. R. Dianne DeMarte was maid of honor. Miss Gail Davy and Miss Mary Joan Hannah were bridesmaids. Their empire gowns had scooped necklines, long sleeves and royal blue velvet sheath skirts. Their Dior veils were caught with a knot, and they carried crescent bouquets of daisy pompons and baby's breath. Lt. James O. Steinbruegge was best man. Lt. Julio Frausto and Lt. John J. Procyson were ushers. An afternoon reception is being held at the Officer's Club, Niagara Falls Air Base. The couple will live in Niagara Falls Boulevard after their wedding trip to New England and Canada.
