The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Clara F. Lynch and William H. Lynch, both of here. Mr. Coogan's parents are Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Coogan Sr., Gladwyne. The Rev. Daniel Rich performed the double - ring ceremony Aug. 6 at 2 p.m. A reception was held in the Ship Cafe. Escorted by her father, the bride was attired in a floor-length gown of white imported linen fashioned in a bell silhouette. A wide band of Venice lace accented the Empire waistline and the cape-let sleeves and was also used to trim the detachable chapel length train held at the waist with a self bow. Venice lace outlined her mantilla of French tulle. The bridal bouquet was of white shattered carnations surrounded by daisies and stephanotis. MISS SHARON LYNCH was the maid of honor for her sister. Her floor-length Venetian blue gown was of imported Irish linen and was in the slim silhouette design. The bodice had a scooped neckline and high-rising waistline with sculptured Venice lace encircling the waist and the sleeves. A large self bow added back interest. She wore a matching linen bow with a circular veil and carried a bouquet of blue daisies. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Bonnie G. Wainwright and Mrs. Susan S. Parker, both of Berlin. Their gowns were identical to the maid of honor's except in a lighter blue mist shade and they carried similar bouquets. Stephen Lee Coogan, Gladwyne, was the best man for his brother. Ushering were Robert Parker, Berlin, and Richard McCleary. After a trip through the Poconos in Pennsylvania, the couple will live in Philadelphia. The bridegroom is stationed near Philadelphia with the Army. Mrs. Coogan was graduated from the Charles Ellis School for Girls, Newton Square, Pa., and also attended the University of Maryland. Her husband is an alumnus of Fort Union, Va., Military Academy and attended the University of Richmond in Virginia.
