ST. PAUL'S CHURCH SCENE OF FORMAL WEDDING OF PIEDMONT GIRL - 
[photo; caption: "The wedding of MISS KATHLEEN COOGAN was one of
the loveliest of the year, her marriage to Mr. Arthur Phillip Crist 
Jr. taking place on October 16. Eight bridesmaids and a flower girl 
preceded the bride to the altar in St. Paul's Episcopal Church. It 
was an all-white wedding, with chrysanthemums, lilies of the valley 
and bride gladioli, used in the appointments, with myriads of 
candles which added their soft lighting to the scene.  The bride 
wore her mother's wedding veil of tulle and duchesse lace over a 
white satin bridal gown self trimmed with tailored buttons and 
collar.  Her bouquet was of lilies of the valley.  Left to right in 
the group shown above are the MISSES BETTY FARNUM, JANE VOLKMANN, 
JOAN YORK, JANE GABRIEL, BETTY ATKINSON, FRANCES STRIETMANN, RUTH 
LEACH, JEAN RAWLINGS and the maid of honor, MISS ELIZABETH HAWLEY.  
The little flower maiden is GRETA SWANSON, daughter of MRS. GLADYS
EMMONS SWANSON of Palo Alto, and a niece of the bride. Mr. and Mrs. 
Crist Jr. motored to San Ysidro Rancho in Southern California."]
