Water on the knee. 24 JAN 1910 - "Tamaqua Deaths" [PAGE 3] NICHOLAS COOGAN DIES OF ASTHMA - Nicholas Coogan, aged 50 years, died at his home on Dutch Hill from miner's asthma. A widow and four children survive. The Coogan family is particularly unfortunate, a son having been killed a No. 14 colliery a little over a week ago. 20 DEC 1912 - [PAGE 22] FORMER RESIDENT DEAD - Carl B. Coogan, a former resident of Shenandoah and later of Hazleton, died at the latter place following a three months' illness arising from an infection of the liver. His survivors are his widow and the following children. Frank, traveling salesman; Carl, a stenographer in Philadelphia; Vincent, jeweler for George Miller, this city; and Harry, Leo, Marian and Joseph at home. 27 SEP 1923 - [PAGE 27] TAMAQUA - Mrs. John Coogan, aged 37 years, died at her home on Schuylkill avenue, following a lingering illness.
