A. COOGAN - A resident of Alcove, Que. for most of her life, Mrs. Teresa Coogan died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Basil McGoey of Low, Que., after a brief illness. She was 82. Born at Luskville, Que., she was the daughter of the late Dennis Brennan and Margaret Fitzgerald, and was educated at Luskville and Aylmer. Mrs. Coogan taught school until her marriage to Andrew Coogan in 1892; he died in 1918. She resided in Alcove from the time of her marriage to the present. A parishoner of St. Camillus' Church, Farrellton, Que., Mrs. Coogan was a member of the Catholic Women's League and the League of the Sacred Heart. She leaves four sons, John of Ottawa, Arthur of Detroit, Gerald and Ambrose, both of Alcove; two daughters, Mrs. Basil (Pauline) McGoey of Low, and Mrs. Emmanuel Langton of Timmons; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Cahill of Ottawa; and 14 grandchildren. Another daughter, Mrs. Margaret Vaillancourt, died in 1943. The funeral will be held from the home at Low on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. to St. Camillus' Church, Farrellton, for requiem high mass at 10 a.m. Rev. Francis MacGregor will chant the mass, assisted by Rev. W. F. Tierney as deacon and Rev. Francis Brennan as sub-deacon.
