KATHERINE M. COOGAN - A native of County Clare, Ireland, Mrs. Katherine M. Coogan of Rest Avenue, Catonsville, died at St. Agnes Hospital on January 20 following a short illness. She was buried in New Cathedral Cemetery on January 23 after a mass of the resurrection offered by the Reverend Father Dohony at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Ellicot City. Pallbearers were Walter F. Willis, Jr., Patrick Willis, Joseph Willis, Lary Rest and Robert Porter. Funeral arrangements were made by the Witzke Catonsville Funeral Home. Mrs. Coogan came to this country as a girl of 17 and had lived the past 69 years in Baltimore and Catonsville. Before her marriage to the late Patrick J. Coogan she had been Katherine O'Dea. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary M. Willis; three sons, John J., Thomas F. and James P. Coogan; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. 11 JUL 2001 JAMES COOGAN - Catonsville resident James Patrick Coogan passed away in the Joseph Richey Hospice on April 26. He was 81 years old. Born on Aug. 10, 1919, he had worked as a residential builder. Mary Willis survives her brother as do a sister-in-law, Ann Coogan; nieces Deborah and Joanne; and Joseph, Jackie, Skip and Tom, his nephews. The Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville Inc. arranged for the Rev. Mark Waddell to offer a service on May 1 at the Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, where Mr. Coogan was later buried.
