SON TO MR. AND MRS. JAY COOGAN - Mr. and Mrs. Jay Coogan of 1,140 
Fifth Avenue are being congratulated upon the birth of a son at 
their home on Aug. 29.  Mrs. Coogan was Miss Josephine A. Osborn, 
daughter of Professor Henry Fairfield Osborn and Mrs. Osborn of 998 
Fifth Avenue.  They also have a daughter, Rhoda Gordon Coogan, born 
about a year ago.  During the war Mr. Coogan served as an officer 
in the Household Cavalry, Royal Horse Guards.  After the war Lord 
Curzon appointed Captain Coogan a member of the Foreign Office and 
sent him on foreign diplomatic missions as a representative of the 
British Government.

SECOND SON TO MRS. JAY COOGAN - A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Jay
Coogan of 1,140 Fifth Avenue on Tuesday at Miss Lippincott's
Sanitarium, 667 Madison Avenue.  It is their second son.  Mrs.
Coogan is the former Miss Josephine Osborn, daughter of Professor
and Mrs. Henry Fairfield Osborn of this city and Castle Rock,
Garrison-on-Hudson.

H. L. Coogan of Jackson Heights, Queens, yesterday at the New York
Hospital.  Mrs. Coogan is the former Miss Isabel Ward, a daughter
