Beloved husband of 60 years to Helen P. (Wojcik); preceded in death by his infant son, Richard Francis; devoted father of Maureen O'Dowd (David) of Norwell, Patricia Cain (Leo) of West Dennis, Kathleen Harrington (Robert) of Cohasset, and Judith of Quincy; loving grand- father of Richard Harrington of South Boston, John Harrington of Savannah, Georgia, and Leo Cain IV of West Dennis. Mr. Coogan retired from the U. S. Postal Service. He was a great storyteller, historian and a lifelong learner, he graduated Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts at the age of 71. Proud member of the United States Marine Corps. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 23 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Morris, O'Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Drive, South Yarmouth, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 24 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, South Street, Hyannis, MA.
