OWEN COOGAN Special to the Herald Statesman BRONXVILLE. Sept. 18 - Mrs. Nannie P. Coogan of 18 Plateau Circle died yesterday at her home after a year's Illness. She was born in Pittsfleld, Mass., May 8, 1881, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry R. Pierson, and attended Miss Hall's School in that city. She was married to Owen Coogan at Pittsfleld on April 2, 1913, and came to Bronxville with him 18 years ago. Mr. Coogan, a former Eastchester Republican chairman, died in 1934. Mrs. Coogan was a member of the Women's Club, the Women's Exchange and the Women's Society of the Bronxville Reformed Church. She is survived by a son, Henry P. Coogan, and a daughter, Miss Patricia Coogan, both of Bronxville. Funeral services will be held at the home Saturday at 10 A. M., with the Rev. John Henderson Powell, Jr. of the Bronxville Reformed Church officiating. Y., Sept. 18 - Mrs. Nannie Pierson Coogan, widow of Owen Coogan, former Republican leader of East Chester and New York textile man, died yesterday at her home here. Her age was 55. She was a member of the Bronxville Women's Club and of the New England Society of Bronxville. A son, Henry P. Coogan Dies After Long Illness - Nannie Pierson Coogan, fifty-five, widow of Owen Coogan, former Republican chairman of Westchester, died September 17 at her home, 18 Plateau Circle, after an illness of more than a year. Her husband, who was in the textile business, died a year ago. Surviving are a son, Henry P. Coogan, a daughter, Patricia Coogan, both of this village, and an aunt, Mrs. Ralph Bardwell of Pittsfield, Mass. Mrs. Coogan was born in Pittsfield, a daughter of the late Henry and Ella Pierson, and lived here for 18 years. She was a member of the Reformed Church, and was affiliated with its women’s organizations. She also was a member and past president of the Bronxville Women’s Club, and had done extensive committee work for the Woman’s Exchange. Funeral services were conducted Saturday morning at her home by the Rev. Dr. John H. Powell, pastor of the Reformed Church.
