"Peg" Coogan, 83, a resident of Davenport, will be 3 p.m. Thursday, July 26, at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of services Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Select Specialty Hospital and Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Mrs. Coogan died July 21, 2007, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Margaret Grace Herring was born July 23, 1923, in Mt. Vernon, Iowa, the daughter of Ray and Margie Carpenter Herring. She attended the University of Iowa and later received her RN degree at the former St. Luke's Hospital, Chicago. Peg was united in marriage to James B. Coogan Jr. on Aug. 16, 1947, in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 2005. Peg was a member of the Moline Public Auxiliary, PEO, Sip 'N Sew, and a longtime member of the Short Hills Country Club and Duck Creek Women's Golf League. She enjoyed the times she spent with family, and she especially cherished her grandchildren. She also enjoyed bowling and traveling. Survivors (and spouses) include her children, Kathleen Coogan, Patrick (Janet) Coogan, both of Bettendorf, James "Dan" (Beth) Coogan, Luxembourg, and Barbara (Dan) Doyle, Westminster, Colo.; grandchildren, Tim (Katherine Venechanos), Sarah, Ben (Jessica), Jessica Coogan, Stephanie and Matthew Lamrouex; a sister, Betty (Uri) Martinez, Sun City, Ariz.; and a brother, Harold Herring, Mt.
