http://www.cooganresearchgroup.com/crg/index.htm 21 October 2012 Obituary of Martha George-Coogan ____________________________________________________________________ (extracted from "Uniontown Herald-Standard" [PA], 16 FEB 2006): MARTHA GEORGE-COOGAN, Passed away on Valentine's Day Morning Martha was the beloved mother of Corrine Nesser Monaco and her husband, Ernie Monaco, an adored grandmother of Natalie Monaco (her "bambino"). Martha spent her younger life as a waitress a her Uncle John's restaurant, Richey's. She loved to cook, bake and embroider. She was a member of the Ladies Guild of Saint George Maronite Catholic Church. Martha was dedicated to caring for the people she loved and who preceded her in death, her mother, Elizabeth George, father, Joseph George and husband, Leslie Coogan. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Amelia Lucas and Betty Parish. Martha was a pillar of strength and faith and was instantly adored by all who met her. She loved life and was happy just to be surrounded by family and friends. Martha is survived by her nieces, Denise Horvath, Terry Gilbert and husband, Ray and Bobette Parish-King and a nephew, Nicky Parish and wife Linda. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews, especially Anthony and Joshua Horvath. Friends will be received in the J. HARRY JOHNSTON FUNERAL HOME, 65 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., Thursday, February 16, 2006, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Rosary Services will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. and Ghinnaz Service (Maronite Service of Incense) Thursday at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Saint George Maronite Catholic Church, Lebanon Terrace, Uniontown, Pa., Friday, February 17, 2006, at 10 a.m. with the Father Joseph David as celebrant. Interment will follow in Park Place Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa. ____________________________________________________________________
