CARTERVILLE - Kathleen "Kathy" Coogan, age 57 of Carterville, died,
Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 16, 2007 at
Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carterville, with Monsignor Kenneth
Schaefer officiating.  Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday, at
Riggin-Pillatsch Funeral Home in Carterville.  A Prayer Service
being conducted at 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions can be made to the Carterville Police 
Department or to the Scleroderma Foundation, Attn: Donations, 300
Rosewood Drive, Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923.  Envelopes will be
available at the funeral home.

Kathy was born on May 16, 1949, in Chicago to George and Anita 
(Girelli) Rossini.  She married Timothy Coogan on April 27, 1974,
in Chicago.

She is survived by her husband Tim Coogan of Carterville; one son
Christian Paul Coogan of Indianapolis, Ind.; daughter Brittany
Elizabeth Coogan of Carterville and her fiance, Jason Schnicker of
McLeansboro; mother Anita Rossini of Chicago; sister and brother-
in-law, Judith and Raymond Gallichio of Green Valley, Ariz.; two
nieces, Michelle Gallichio of Gurnee, and Jennifer Gallichio of
Palatine; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, George James and
Linda Coogan of Morris Plains, N.J. and Kevin and Linda Coogan of
Addison; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Leo and Caren Miller
of Addison.

She was preceded in death by her father George Rossini.

Kathy worked as a secretary for the Carterville Police Department 
for 17 years.

She was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carterville.

Kathy enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening, reading, but most of 
all spending time with her family, where she took an active role in 
her children's lives.
