Obituary of John Shannon Coogan III

JOHN COOGAN III

John "Shannon" Coogan III, 58, of Las Vegas, a retired master 
plumber, passed away July 24, 2012.  He was born July 28, 1953, in 
Albuquerque, N.M., and was a 56-year resident of Nevada.  Shannon 
graduated from Western High School in 1971 and from the University of 
Nevada, Reno, in 1975.  He was employed by Hansen Mechanical 
Contractors for 26 years.  His favorite pastime was hunting and being 
outdoors.  He was able to accomplish his dream of two hunting safari 
trips to South Africa.  Shannon is survived by his wife, Karen Coogan; 
parents, Jack and Betty Coogan; sister, Sharon Coogan; daughters, 
Tearsa and Johnna Coogan; grandson, Miles Coogan; and his grand-
children, Braxton, Brody, Brecken, Erin, Allison and Rebecca Kooser; 
as well as many other family members and loved ones. Memorial services 
will be at 6 p.m., Monday, July 30, at Canyon Ridge Christian Church, 
6200 Lone Mountain Road.  His family requests in lieu of flowers, 
donations be made in his honor to either the Leukemia and Lymphoma
