JOHN F. COOGAN SR

BELLEVILLE, N.J., June 4 (AP) - John F. Coogan Sr., one of the last
survivors of the Newark Little Giants Baseball team, the first
professional nine in that city, died at his home yesterday at the 
age of 88.  He was a member of the Newark team of 1886 which 
captured the eastern league championship.  He hit .300 throughout 
his baseball career.
