Coogan, 81, of 1 Ravensdale Road, Hastings-on-Hudson, died Sunday at the Dobbs Ferry Hospital after a brief illness. He was born Aug. 21, 1886, to James P. and Ellen (McDonnell) Coogan in Hastings-on-Hudson, where he attended public schools. Mr. Coogan was attendance officer for the Hastings public schools for 35 years, and retired in 1957. He was a communicant of St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church in Hastings-on-Hudson.
