[MN], SEP 2022): IOLA MARIE HENNEBRY January 20, 1925 - September 6, 2022 Iola Marie Hennebry, 97, of Bemidji, MN died Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at the Sanford Bemidji Medical Center in Bemidji, MN. A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, September 22, 2022 at St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Bemidji, Minnesota. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at St. Philip’s. Arrangements are with the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji. Iola was born January 20, 1925, to Otto and Mary (Shanley) Johnson in Grygla, MN. She was raised on their farm north of Grygla, until 1938 when her family moved to Warren, MN. She attended Warren High School, where she met her future husband, Bob, a neighbor boy. They were married for 65 years until Bob’s passing in 2011. They lived most of their lives in the Bemidji / Cass Lake area, with the exception of 20 years in Shoreview, MN. Iola was an accomplished seamstress, sewing away on the Singer that Bob had saved for and given her. She painted landscapes, crocheted, and knitted, showing us her creative side. They traveled many miles together, staying months at a time, to the Canadian Rockies, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and Ireland. What began as a curiosity of Irish genealogy, became a love of Ireland. This resulted in Iola and Bob making eight trips to Ireland, making life-long dear friends in the process. Iola is survived by her children; Mary Lou (Roger) Klinkhammer of Shoreview, MN, Pat (Lloyd) Lind of Bemidji, Bob Hennebry of Crookston, and Maureen (Neal) Holmstrom of Bemidji; seven grand- children, nine great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, her parents, brother Roy, and infant sister Clara Nadine. Iola’s family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Chan and Nicole Anderson at Sanford Bemidji ICU Unit for the wonderful care of our Mom. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the donor’s choice. https://www.ceasefuneralhome.com/obituaries/Iola-Marie-Hennebry?obId=25812184 __________________________________________________________________
