Obituary of Elizabeth (Pinkham) Coogan

LEWISTON - Elizabeth Pinkham Coogan (1918-2003), 84, passed away 
April 21, 2003 after a brief illness at Central Maine Medical 
Center. She was born and grew up in Bath, Maine. Attended Gorham 
Teachers College and taught elementary school for many years.  
She served her country in the Woman’s Air Corps during WWII. She 
was an avid gardener, and loved to read. 

She is survived by her Daughter Jane Coogan of Auburn, her 
sister Frances (Pinkham) Potter of Brunswick, her brother Buddy 
Millard Pinkham of Waterville, her cousin Thatcher B. Pinkham Jr. 
of Bath, several Nieces and grand nieces, and one very special 
Nephew.  Her Husband J. Russell Coogan Jr. and her Daughter Joan 
Coogan predeceased her. 

A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 28th at 11am at 
Kincer Funeral Home 14 Pleasant St. Richmond with Pastor James 
officiating. Burial will take place at the convenience of the 
family.
