Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Mr. Coogan was formerly of Long Island, NY for many years. He was a carpenter by trade and retired as an agent with Lufthansa Airlines, served in the British Merchant Navy, was a member of the British War Veterans and the Knights of Columbus in Long Island. He is survived by his wife; one daughter and son-in-law; three sons and a daughter-in-law; a sister; a brother; and five grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.
