Obituary of Carl B. Coogan SR

CARL B. COOGAN, SR.

Carl B. Coogan, a former resident of Shenandoah and Mahanoy City, 
died late Wednesday afternoon at his late home, in Phila., to which 
place the family moved about three years ago.  Deceased at one time 
was employed as a clerk in the county commissioners' office and 
represented the Singer Sewing Machine Co. at Hazleton.  

Surviving, he leaves his wife and the following children: Vincent of 
Mahanoy City, Frank, Carl, Harry, Leo, Jos. and Miss Marion, at home.  
Two brothers, Richard and John, of Pottsville, and three sisters, 
also of this city, survive.  

His funeral will take place on Saturday in Phila., with interment in 
Holy Cross cemetery in the suburbs of that city.

Columbus Church, 24th and Lehigh Ave.  Interment in Holy Cross
cemetery.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

FORMER RESIDENT DEAD 

Carl B. Coogan, a former resident of Shenandoah and later of 
Hazleton, died at the latter place following a three months' illness 
arising from an infection of the liver. 

His survivors are his widow and the following children.  Frank, 
traveling salesman; Carl, a stenographer in Philadelphia; Vincent, 
jeweler for George Miller, this city; and Harry, Leo, Marian and 
Joseph at home.
