Coogan of San Francisco was instantly killed when she was thrown beneath a Market st. electric car in the metropolis on Tuesday after having been struck by a truck driven by Herman Hohn, proprietor of the Pine Tree Poultry farm, near this city. It is said that Hohn lost control of the heavy vehicle while attempting to negotiate the steep Powell st. hill, and in an attempt to avoid a collision with the car, struck Miss Coogan, who had stepped from the curb directly in the patch of the runaway truck. ___________________________________________________________________
