COOGAN story appearing in "Brooklyn Daily Union-Argus"
(29 JAN 1879):


A team of horses attached to a coach ran away on Franklin street
yesterday afternoon and the occupant of the coach, Mr. John Coogan,
the furniture dealer on the Bowery and Third avenue, New York, in
attempting to jump from the vehicle fell and broke his leg.  He
was taken to his residence on East Twenty-seventh street, near
Third avenue, New York.
