Each has remarried twice in the interim, but Miss O'Day's last husband left her several years ago and five years ago she found herself penniless and infirm. When Coogan's last wife died several years ago in New York he set about to find his first love, Maggie O'Brien. Letters written to Maggie O'Brien and Maggie Coogan were returned from Butte, unanswered. Meanwhile, Mrs. O'Day was thinking of her first sweetheart, and one day recently she timidly asked at the post office for mail under her maiden name. A letter was there and it was from Charlie Coogan. He had grown old and lonely and his three grown children had gone out into the world. Also, he had saved enough money to keep two comfortably. Mrs. O'Day immediately answered her old lover's letter and he sent funds for her fare to New York, where Coogan soon will be pensioned by a railway company. ____________________________________________________________________
