Laborer Plunged Twenty-nine Stories
Down Elevator Shaft - May recover

Cincinnati, Jan 22. - William Coogan, a laborer, fell down an 
elevator shaft from the twenty-ninth floor of the Union-Central 
building and still lives.

He was picked up a mangled mess, was rushed to a hospital and is
reported to have a fair chance to recover.

29TH FLOOR;
STILL LIVES

Cincinnati, O., Jan. 22 - William Coogan, a laborer, fell down an
elevator shaft from the 29th floor here today and still lives.  The
man in playfully attempting to grab the wires of the elevator lost
his balance and toppled over.  He was picked up a mangled mess but
when found not to be dead he was rushed to a hospital and is 
reported to have a fair chance to recover.
