(extracted from "Salt Lake Tribune" [UT], 06 DEC 1933):

COLORADO

DENVER - The path from the bridge table sometimes leads to divorce
court, but it ended at the marriage altar for Joseph Coogan and
Elizabeth Durkin of Denver, who disclosed their recent secret
wedding today.

While playing bridge with friends, April 4, 1932, Coogan dealt Miss
Durkin a "perfect bridge hand" of 13 spades.  At first she believed
the deal was a "frame-up."

The courtship that began at the card table ended last Saturday 
[02 DEC 1933] at St. Joseph's church, where the wedding took place, 
the newlyweds revealed today.
