Research:

This is the family of Felix Coogan, a weaver.  He was born in 
Scotland and later moved to Cumberland, England.  This family has 
links with Carlisle.

In the mid Nineteenth Century, he moved his family to North 
America.  There is a chance that he initially entered the United
States (1842).  However he arrived, he was settled in New 
Brunswick, Canada by 1851.

One of Felix's sons, John Coogan, emigrated to the United States 
near the beginning of the Civil War. He was married and lived in 
Salem (Essex County), Massachusetts in early 1861.

We are currently looking for someone to link with this family and 
to take over the search!
