This is the family of Joseph A. Coogan.  He was born in New York.
After his children were born, he moved the family to Washington,
District of Columbia (DC), where they lived for several years.
Later, Joseph moved to New Carrollton, Maryland.

Following generations moved to Charlotte (Mecklenburg County), 
North Carolina.
