CRG-Update Email Sent: 22 DEC 2000 11:56:54 PM *********** COOGAN RESEARCH GROUP - http://members.aol.com/jcoogan266/index.htm New Update! Special Thanks to Tim Coogan (tcoogan@stanfordalumni.org) for his vital record submissions for Coogans in the Cincinnati, OH, area. He has provided extensive baptism, marriage, death, and cemetery information for his Fayetteville Coogan family. Jim McArdle (jimimac@telusplanet) provided more Tithe Applotment data for County Monaghan - to add to what I have done. Thanks, Jim! There are death records for North Carolina 1978-1996. Go to transcriptions page for all the items above. ****************** Tim Coogan has informed me that he is examining a Kilkenny/Wicklow connection to his Fayetteville Coogan clan. There were two close relatives working on his James Coogan's farm in the mid 1800s - one was John Coogan, born 1810, and the other was Patrick Coogan, born 1806. Patrick's tombstone says COUSIN, but John's does not give a relation. John's tombstone DOES say that he was from Castledarron, Kilkenny... James Coogan's family was from County Wicklow. ****************** Hope you all have a great Christmas and New Year! Jim Coogan
